Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Happy Tails Pet Sitting. By booking a service, you agree to the following terms.
1. Services
Happy Tails Pet Sitting provides in-home pet care services including dog walking, home visits, overnight pet sitting and day care within North Lakes, Mango Hill, Griffin and Deception Bay.
Services are delivered at the client’s home unless otherwise agreed.
2. Bookings & Confirmation
Bookings are confirmed once agreed in writing via message or email.
A meet and greet may be required before the first booking to ensure suitability and discuss routines, care instructions and expectations.
Happy Tails reserves the right to decline a booking if the service is not considered suitable or safe.
3. Payments
Payment terms will be confirmed prior to the service.
Unless otherwise agreed:
- Payment must be made before or on the day the service begins.
- Additional services (extra hours, extra pets, added walks) will be charged accordingly.
Prices are subject to change, however confirmed bookings will honour the agreed rate.
4. Cancellations
Cancellations must be communicated as soon as possible.
- Cancellations within 24 hours of the booking may incur a fee.
- Same-day cancellations may be charged in full.
This helps protect reserved time that cannot be rebooked.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about their pet’s health, behaviour and needs.
- Ensure pets are vaccinated and legally registered where required.
- Provide sufficient food, medication and supplies.
- Ensure the home environment is safe for the provision of services.
Happy Tails Pet Sitting is not responsible for issues arising from undisclosed medical or behavioural conditions.
6. Veterinary Care
In the event of a medical emergency, reasonable efforts will be made to contact the owner.
If the owner cannot be reached, Happy Tails Pet Sitting may seek veterinary treatment at the nearest or nominated clinic. All veterinary costs are the responsibility of the pet owner.
7. Liability
Happy Tails Pet Sitting will take reasonable care while providing services.
However, we are not liable for:
- Illness, injury or death resulting from pre-existing conditions
- Damage caused by pets to property
- Events beyond reasonable control
Clients remain responsible for their pet’s behaviour and actions.
8. Home Access & Security
Clients must provide safe and reliable access to the property.
Happy Tails Pet Sitting is not responsible for security issues arising from faulty locks, alarms or unclear instructions.
9. Communication & Updates
All services include periodic communication and photo updates during active bookings.
Response times may vary outside of scheduled service hours.
10. Changes to Terms
Happy Tails Pet Sitting reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will be available on the website.
